 | The Chaman Restaurant was opened in April 2007 by Mohammed Khawaja and Navid Kanwal. Mohammed brings with him over 25 years experience in the restaurant business. The family journey started in Leeds before moving to sheffield. At that time it was understood that Mohammed was the pioneer in bringing Indian cuisine to the South Yorkshire city. It was known that he was the first to introduce the concept of open kitchens to the Indian restaurant scene. CLINTON Woods is hot stuff as World light-heavyweight champion. But he was unable to frequent his favourite curry house, Chaman, for some time after the Sheffield eaterie was hit by last summer's floods which decimated businesses around The Wicker. He promised owners Navid Kanwal and Mohammed Khawaja that he would officially re-open it when it was firmly back in business.
